fields ------- hunting for life's ink i look through sights into fields of pages wide open like Montana pastures testing my patients as nothing comes into view
haiku ------- blue lights jumped off chrome putting the block on alert as corner boys fled
haiku ------- God sprays light from blue sky's framing harbor mornings that drift on muslin
africa ------- At a distance Family sits Recovering from Instability Caused by outside Aggression
the 50's --------- hot & humid mississippi roads an incubator for hatching assassins pecking away at all darkness that wondered its way
espanol haiku ------------- eres tan linda como gotas de lluvia acostado en hojas de rosas
haiku x2 (her words) ------------------- i need my hair pulled i need my ass smacked u know talk shit to me man
u know what i like grab that voluptuous ass take control of me
solo ----- i keep trying to play this duet with u
but every time i try u go right into a solo
coming in on the one instead of the two rest
change #2 --------- while living in sin i tell self like Sam Cooke "change gonna come"
knowing that i will turn tomorrow into next week and next week into next month
rebirth -------- blues slide chromatic down harps living in E rebirthing juke joints during after hour jams

I've always admired what it takes to write short poems. there isn't a word wasted and it feels like you've read so much once you reach the end. I especially loved the following two:
solo ----- i keep trying to play this duet with u
but every time i try u go right into a solo
coming in on the one instead of the two rest
change #2 --------- while living in sin i tell self like Sam Cooke "change gonna come"
knowing that i will turn tomorrow into next week and next week into next month

"solo" seems to get a lot of love. it's starting to become one of my personal favorites. from what i remember it all most didn't make the book. go figure.
