"night (unfinished)"

lifetimes of night times/the fight and the flight times/the lack of light hides/the plight of mankind
adore the night time/deplore the night time/it's more you can find/explore the confines
before i write lines/i wait for the star shine/that's when my mind flies/beyond my design
i become resigned to being re-defined, and i can be sure of thoughts pure, un-refined
so eyes to the sky, when will it be my time/the light from the stars ain't from a heaven that's behind
peace i cannot find/in the arms of the divine/enough for me, would be the arms of womankind
someone to call mine/and love for a long time/but such simple solace is so hard to come by 'n
i've/seen the extremes of a love become lie
we all ask why, we can't untie -
through bittersweet love/blood cold like ice times/when lies and spite will turn cries to knife lines
her eyes decide you'll never leave her side
touchin' her spine and splicin' life lines..

how do you hear this? with a melody? I almost (and don't take this the wring way) could hear it sung over Jingle Bell Rock.

u know the jingle bell rock thing seems to work very festive! lol

But seriously though i like it's got flow, works well on a 2 step beat, reminds me of early ms dynamite back when uk garage had substance.

This is a heartfelt piece seems like you're missing something, i hope you find it.

Stay up

haha. wow, i can see the jingle bell rock thing too.. interesting

but no, the beat i'm working on for it seems to go pretty well with the cadence. i can't describe it well but it's got a deep pocket to it, it's not a straight-ahead thing, with chopped atmospheric guitar in the background. i'll have it up on myspace soon, maybe i'll re-post with a link.

i wrote that a year ago when i was going through shit, but now it's just academic to finish it up and make a decent song out of it. thanks for reading
