Primetime is an upcoming American psychological thriller film directed by Lance Oppenheim in his narrative feature film debut. The film is based on Luke Dittrich's 2007 Esquire article "Tonight on Dateline This Man Will Die". It follows the production of the reality television series To Catch a Predator, which featured host Chris Hansen confronting child sexual predators who arrived at a sting house and were typically arrested as a result. Robert Pattinson stars as Hansen, and also serves as a producer. Merritt Wever, Skyler Gisondo, and Phoebe Bridgers play supporting roles.
The film will premiere at the main competition of the 83rd Venice International Film Festival on September 5, 2026, where it will compete for the Golden Lion. It will be released theatrically in the United States on September 25.
