"Friendship (DeYoung, 2025)-- Tim Robinson, Paul Rudd"

Fans of ITYSL should check this out. Not sure it elevates too far beyond the pitch of "if ITYSL did a Cable Guy riff," but that's probably enough for the target audience. It's very, very funny.

More Christmas movies coming in 2025...

The thing with Tim Robinson is he refuses to let even 5 seconds go without making whatever is currently happening funnier, be is with the delivery of a throwaway line or facial reaction. Did we need to see him fill his coffee to the brim and carefully walk down the office hallway? Absolutely not, but I died laughing throughout the entire bit.

There's so many quotes I want to reference but I don't want to butcher them. That said, perfectly fitted clothes from Ocean View Dining (I cracked up when they showed the logo on the inside of his lost shoe and him only just ordering his sandwich during his toad trip are living rent free in my head.

But it was pretty much ITYSL the movie. Funniest movie I've seen in the theaters in years, which is definitely faint praise right now, but still I was quite grateful.

I check for: Serengeti, Zeroh, Open Mike Eagle, Jeremiah Jae, Moka Only.

I can watch on constant repeat because I can always find something new and bizarre in every sketch. I look forward to watching this again for that very reason.

It's funny my wife enjoys ITYSL but she didn't like the movie. She didn't like the idea of a very long ITYSL sketch.

I've come up with this:

You probably have to be a ITYSL fan to enjoy this. But being a ITYSL fan doesn't ensure you will like it.

I am curious to see how people who have never seen ITYSL will react to this.

How do I know this? Because the moment they put Tim Robinson in focus as Kate Mara was talking about hoping to have an orgasm again, the theatre exploded with laughter. All it took was one look at his face to expose the fact that everybody in the theatre was here for Tim.

dude cracking up when he came into frame there. Hilarious and his response to the group had me dying.

Really enjoyed it and it surprised me in several ways which is always welcome. Rudd was fantastic too, played off Robinson perfectly. I’ll watch again soon. Need more flicks like this.
