I'm not big on these movies but there are some great shots in this trailer and Ejiofor, Temple, and Graham, plus some Cristo Fernandez sprinkled in is intriguing.
Shout out to Ejiofor for ALWAYS showing up. He'll be in the worst movie imaginable and giving it his fucking all like he's doing Shakespeare in the Park

We would have been better off with an okaycivics board instead of an okayactivist board

I don't like these movies at all, really, but God bless him for milking this for all its worth.
11/13: Hot Frosty (on Netflix) 11/23: Three Wiser Men & A Boy (on Hallmark) 11/27: Christmas Under the Lights (on Hallmark Mysteries) 12/14: The Santa Class (on Hallmark)
This is not a good movie: no logic and truly ham-fisted dialogue.
With that said, if you come into the third Venom movie mad that it's like this, then that's on you. Some dweeb behind me was so angry and I'm like what the fuck did you expect?! Sometimes I hate the film criticism community.
Look, I was entertained. The set pieces were cool and the Eddie/Venom dynamic is great.
I absolutely wouldn't recommend anyone see this. But I'll be damned if I'm not going to see this in IMAX 3D off an edible.

There's a middle section here where Eddie and Venom just hang out with a kooky family and go to Vegas and disco dance, and none of it was "isn't this stupid?" irony laced, it was all... kind of great.
Is it the "Venom" from the comics? No idea. Is it a good movie? Since most of the plot and the Ejiofor stuff all feels like an afterthought, no, I mean, probably not. But I admire tonally what they're doing by making this sincere and silly and sweet. Kinda feels like an antidote to the quippy, snarky, Ryan Reynolds-y stuff we see so often in superhero movies and big action movies these days.
