"Copenhagen Cowboy (Nicholas Winding Refn, Netflix, 2023)" Sun Jan-15-23 12:16 PM by Castro
80's arthouse Blade Runner neon Euro-weird underworld thriller. It burns slow and the fumes will have you hallucinating.
I think that kinda sums it up. Imagine if The King of New York starred Bjork as a Jackie Chan skilled Jedi Joan of Arc. You feel sorry for her and wonder what is going to take her out initially, and then you eventually arrive at the idea that its probably better that she is a loner....for other people's sake. The ride to that thought is eventful at times and visually interesting in spurts. If you are looking for a Guy Ritchie type everyone is a CHARACTER type flick, you are in the wrong theater or hit the back button on your remote to get back to the Netflix menu.

furthers Refn's recent work, focusing an archetypal characters who are larger than life without talking much. 100% needs to be watched at night in a dimly lit room
