Pom Klementieff and the character of Mantis is front and center here. She's the heart of this and Pom does so much Mantis that I hope she has a bigger role in Vol. 3. Really nice little Christmas special.

Once again the Disney+ stuff continues to be better than the movies.

Love Drax and Mantis's adventure.

But Quill doesn't really seem to be Quill here, he's way less goofy and less comic.

Also it does feel like it's a TV show - like it's shot on "Growing Pains" style 1980's video cameras a little. It's makes Quill and Nebula seem much more "ordinary" in their scenes.

I did enjoy the CBS Special Presentation like intro.

So thumbs up - but not perfect.

I liked them as a kid, and didn't realize they were a B-list knockoff until I was an adult
