This video was an interesting watch, covering the issues in filmmaking with the effects studios being heavily overworked, without receiving anywhere near pay deserved, along with the disconnect between the directors and effects studios with so many separate studios working on each film.
I had no idea that the visual effects studios weren't unionized like some of the other groups in the filmmaking industry. I'd heard about the issues with Life of Pi and Rhythm & Hues, but didn't realize how bad things were now.
