Granted, this genre is always a tough sell for me (normal person goes home to wacky but troubled family), but that almost looked like a parody.

because you got people who i'm sure flat out refuse to work with him, then people who may have been willing to, but don't feel like it's worth the smoke.

someone like DiPaolo is obviously easy, but once you get past your friends, i wonder how that all went down.
