"Texas Chainsaw Massacre (Netflix, 2022)"

weirdest setting and underlying plot premise ever for a film in this franchise.

its like someone saw an abandoned studio lot and was like hey lets see if we can weave a texas chainsaw massacre film into this.

At first I thought they must have borrowed the old town set of another crummy remake, House of Wax, but I looked back and saw at least that set had SOME glimpses of the landscape beyond the one street, through gaps between buildings or in the background. This set was just like a slot canyon of communism.

Also, the school shooting angle was pretty lame. Had a real "good guys with guns" message to it.

Eighth Grade girl deserves better.

That said, it was short and eventful enough that I watched it all streaming for free. Sort of Halloween Kills level entertainment. Sort of thing streaming seems to be perpetuating through lowered audience expectations/standards due to the medium.

I check for: Serengeti, Zeroh, Open Mike Eagle, Jeremiah Jae, Moka Only.
