I think both started strong but both kind of fizzled a bit.
Both shows feel like they could use a showrunner who knows how to make season long storylines that you want to follow and keep up with week to week.
The Chi has a strong ensemble and can be hilarious, but I do think the leads are having a tough time carrying the show (though both pretty funny dudes). The CHi could be like a black Parks and Recs if they can find there bearings.

Don’t need to overthink it. I put the show on and I get 27 mins of everything from chuckles to the small inside type jokes to all out belly laughs.

They really did pull of a black live action simpsons. Like it has soo many hilarious characters and inside jokes. The ambition of trying to juggle so many characters is amazing.
I kinda wish going to HBO meant they would get more money for the show to up its production value but I think I am over that as an issue. I just hope they get some more seasons.
