"Promising Young Woman (Fennell, 2020)"


  

          

Whew boy.

This was flames.

I went in cold, really only knowing about a montage people loved (which I will not spoil here) but this was an incredibly dark, funny, and dare I say entertaining watch.

Expertly directed - the colors are incredible. The CASTING? Master class. But damn, so good.

It's rare these days for films to stick with me much after viewing but this one definitely has.

from the haunting version of britney spears to the paris hilton scene.

you can tell someone put their heart and soul into this. even the dialogue and 'plan' was well elaborated but still grounded/believable.
