Rewatching s01 after keeping up with this past season has been.... revelatory

I need to rewatch 2 cause I don’t remember much from it. Billy Bob was one of the GOAT antagonists in season 1 though. Like a charming Anton Chigurh.

I’ve mostly enjoyed this season but it’s been a bit unfocused for me to compare to the previous ones. And I don’t care about a couple different storylines.

I dug him in Gomorra but the overacting is almost cringeworthy at times, not sure if I blame him or the director :/

There was no single event that set the course for the entire season.

The events in Lester Nygaard's basement from S1.
The events at the "Waffle Hut" from S2.
(haven't seen S3)

All of those events happened in the debut episodes and
the entire season we watched the characters react to it.
In S4 of Fargo, things are just kinda happening.
While on it's own I'm sure it is entertaining to some degree,
(like Mynoriti said in the Fargo post, it's a regular mob story)
but it's not the same Fargo series.

I'm disappointed cause the debut episode of this season was amazing.

In 3 it's essentially that one Ewan McGregor took out a loan without understanding the terms, the debt of which comes due just as the other McGregor makes a pair of decisions that cause the first to be unable to get out from under that loan.

It unspools in a far more Pepe Silvia way than the first two seasons but it's still really good TV.
