I'm really looking forward to seeing how this all plays out. We know what happens with John Brown, but I'm loving Onion's character and the nuance of his experience...

fooled by Onion and who isn’t. The other Black characters immediately know what’s up, while others don’t fully see him and just take it at face value that he’s a girl based on how he’s dressed and how John Brown introduces him as a girl.

for "Fred's " wife. She seems to be the only black character who didn't catch on. Well, and I guess Pie too until she snatched that dress off him.
