The writing isn't completely faultless (notably regarding the motivations of the nemesis), but Moss sells everything she does here, and the supporting cast rises up to the challenge as well. Good mix of tight angles and open shots to bring home the paranoia, and the score is smartly shut off at certain junctures.
Oh and shout-out to the two separate sets of parents who decided to bring young kids to my screening and thought shushing them when they whimpered or cried was a solid parenting move. I'm not wishing nightmares on the kids for the next two weeks, but I'm not not wishing it

these folks at blumhouse obviously know what theyre doing.
everything about this was on point. the writing was tight. no extra fat. no dumb decisions by the characters. the way its spaced and delivered in doses over 2 hours was perfect. right up to the final frame.
homegirl from handmaids tale was damn good in this. sold every single shot.
