"My "This Is Us" people....Laaaawwwwd *spoilage...like for real*"

Something told me Nikki wasn't dead...I just had a feeling.

I really need the reasoning behind that lie.

Randall and Beth aint looking too stable, especially when it comes to the flash-forward.

And how rude of the dr to send a "gender reveal" cake.

I'm glad some of the shine is being taken off Jack..no way any man is that perfect. He was wrong as hell for how he handled his brother.

His brother finding out that he was dead and never being able to explian the situation is some heavy shit.

On the other hand ... man all them postcards and not one of them could include a concise "IT WAS AN ACCIDENT, JACK" type of explanation?

It still feels weird liking Kevin so much after hating him and his entitlement for 2 seasons but I'm here for it. Shoot, if nothing else it's a beautiful thing watching generational curses being broken in this show (Jack re: alcoholism, Kevin re: forgiveness)

but then again, isn't it safe for Jack to have assumed it was an accident? Did he really think Nicky did that on purpose? I think the reasoning behind Jack's decisions was because Nicky was irresponsible and couldn't be trusted.. He was messy and dangerous, and you can't have messy dangerous people in your squad or around your family/young children..

Nicky's reaction upon hearing the news made me cry tbh... First time since S1.

You're right. I had forgotten about that part.

Also, I think Jack and the kid's mom had a mutual, unspoken attraction.. I remember that same kid was trying to give Jack a fish a while back before one of the other soldiers was like "get that corn out my face!" so he had a friendly bond with the boy before Nicky.

I am so late. ... This show is so good. I'm tired of the Manny/Kevin dude though. Kate and Toby just need to get a surrogate and be happy.

So far every time that I think that the show is going to make a turn for the worse it swerves and avoids it. I am hoping that Randall's marriage makes it but the flash forwards looks like they don't make it.

I guess Randall gets too focused and things fall apart. This will be sad.

Honestly, are Tess and Deja not old enough to "watch" themselves at this point? I know Deja can be a wild card but c'mon man. Never in my life have I seen a black family rule out a babysitter like that. I thought Randall would have more empathy than that consider how well he builds up the women in his life, but maybe he's too caught up in his own desires

And strictly from an employment perspective, how does it look to have JUST started a job, then receive your work schedule, then come back on some "ACTUALLY I just talked to my husband and ..."

>Beth needs this in her life right now if there’s gonna be

Completely agree

>Damn damn damn, Kevin! ZOE, bruh! ZOE!

When he first was balls deep in alcoholism, I felt it came from entitlement. This time it was genuinely collateral from trying to help out his uncle and be the man Jack wasn't. A lot of us have relapsed on our vices at one point

Also I don't think I will ever get over how fine Zoe is

>Toby & Kate... I hope this ends well with them having as
>healthy a baby as possible.

Two things I need to work in this show: Randall and Beth's marriage and Toby and Kate's baby (both for personal reasons)

>Rebecca’s watching those videos were crushing because Jack
>wasn’t supposed to be gone.

Mandy Moore killed that whole episode. Somehow I (at least FELT like I) could feel all of her emotions

I was heated for her. The whole reason they are in this situation is because of decisions he made. He wanted to foster/adopt another kid, he wanted to run for office. And if I remember correctly, he QUIT his job. Dude has good intentions, but damn.

In some ways, I think Beth already has to shoulder a lot because they have three girls and (in my experience) girls lean on their mothers for guidance. But preventing Beth from doing something she is passionate about is flat out wrong. The way her face went from joy to "piss-tivity" was so disheartening.

Randall needs a therapist to tell him that he can't save the whole world and shouldn't try. He's been slowly becoming less of Randall the husband/father and more Randall the politician/savior and I'm not a fan at all. If it wasn't for his father living in that building he presumably would've just found a new job at a new firm that appreciated him more, have had a more normal commute that's conducive to raising a family, and none of this would be an issue

All Randall had to do was try to be superman to a fault. Do his politic thing. Be super supportive of Beth. Let her see him going all out. Be exhausted at home. Fall asleep at the desk doing the bills. Yet never saying a word about the money. Dip a little bit into the savings only so much that its noticeable.

Let Beth come to her own conclusions. She would see how hard that he is trying to juggle everything but failing (not up to his usual excellence). See that he is committed even to the point of failure of letting her live her dream.

Her love for him would not let him fall. She would come to some conclusion that was totally palatable because she devised it herself. Ultimately it would impact her teaching dance but she would be totally cool with it and love him all the more for it.

Kev is fully committed to self-destruct. Zoe was all in until she caught whiff of that water bottle. I don't blame her when/if she leaves him.

Really nice moments with Miguel and Kates homegirl. Kev was a total douche to her..props to her for sticking it out

Damn I felt for dude.

That was a bad move leaving a voice mail though. You can't backtrack out of that.

The Kevin and Sophie convo was beautiful, as was Toby and ol' boy in the waiting room. That shot was honest as hell.

He played that all the way wrong.

I loved Kate and Toby’s interactions too. I don’t know if I could’ve been as patient with him under those circumstances.

I think Kevin’s gonna go back to his ex.

I loved and hated this episode.

Loved:
- The shout out to Living Single
- Randall dancing to ‘ Let’s Get Married’
- Pretty much all of their happier times

Hated:
- Their arguments. I think they’re gonna break up
- Next week is the season finale! Seems like it just came back.

I wasn't supposed to watch but I turned out of habit and just kept it there. Only way I see this working is if Randall resigns. Him getting salty over Beth's anxiety comment doesn't make her comments any less true, and he couldn't even see where he had been wrong all those times

Nah, you just serious, lol. That song has got to be the laziest marriage proposal song ever. He probably wrote that book of wedding vows to make up for that shit.

Yep. Considering he memorialized his "grow up" diss over voicemail, I consider them even.

Very happy that R&B make it through this and are still together in the future, but nothing made me smile more than seeing a healthy Nicky sitting at Rebecca's bedside, seemingly fully integrated into the family.

We didn't see Kate but Toby does mention "they" are on their way when asked where Jack is. They could mean Jack and Kate, but we still don't know what Toby/Kate's status is, or they could mean Jack and someone else, and maybe Kate is no longer alive. I assume Kate is still alive, and maybe they are saving the reveal because they are waiting on the actress to lose weight for future Kate?

Also, with the scene in the future being the Big 3's birthday (that's why they have that pin the tail on the donkey game) I believe the series finale will be that scene with the Big 3 coming together to say goodbye to Rebecca, and the series will come full circle, starting and ending on the Big 3's (and OG Jack's) birthday.

At the end of last season, Kate was talking to Toby while he appeared to be going through a depressive episode. He was in the bed if I remember correctly and they were getting ready to see ‘her’. I doubt she’s dead.

I doubt theyre still together cause when he comes in the door, Randall says "Thank you for coming", like he's not obligated to be at Pearson events anymore

As tully already replied, "her" is Rebecca.

In regards to Toby - at the end of last year's finale there was both FUTURE TOBY (which ended up being Season 3 Toby) who was depressed in bed with Kate saying she just spoke with his doctor and he thinks it's time to up his meds (this scene was in like episode 3 or 4 of Season 3) and then WAY IN THE FUTURE TOBY, who was in bed in a room that kind of had the vibe of a hospital room, it was very white if I remember, bare bones and clean. He picks up his phone and answer's Randall's call. Kate isn't in the WAY IN THE FUTURE TOBY scene, but I believe his left hand is visible and there was no sign of a ring.

It’s been a whille since I’ve seen it, so it’s definitely a possibility.

Yeah, I knew ‘her’ was Rebecca, but I was talking in terms of what I thought was the Season 2 scene with Toby and Kate. Didn’t know who ‘her’ was at that time.
