I'm actually looking forward to this one. Let's hope it doesn't fall apart at the 3rd act and go to crap like Hancock did

I mean maaaybe if they go full comedy with this. But I'm legit confused at all the excitement for this flick.
Right from the start dude looks like Hans and Franz with a cape.
I guess it might work as like a Big type movie, or Freaky Friday-esque.
But as an actual superhero action movie injected with some humor and camp? Nah man.
I do wonder if they're even going to try to tie this into the DCEU, or if from now on they're going to slowly move away from their failed attempt at a shared universe.

I already read an article that they said the DCEU is dead now and they are focusing on stand alone films and sequels and not tying them together. So Wonder Woman won't be partnering up with Aquaman anytime soon again. Affleck and Cavill are officially done. Im actually looking forward to Joaquin's Joker film and Suicide Squad 2 with James Gunn handling has promise.

It’s heavy on clunky exposition, motives are not drawn out, and characters would not act like that in situations (one at the end really bothered me). I’d say 90% of the funny bits were already in the commercials. With very little character development it’s hard to buy some of the turns the characters make, especially Billy B. I do like Zach Levi and Mark Strong, but their charisma only goes so far. There is a nice bit in the 3rd act that fans of the character will like (and I’m glad WB didn’t spoil as far as I know). End credits were nice, but familiar. It’s not a terrible or bad movie, but it isn’t good by any stretch either. If jokes and lack or grimdark are all you want, cool. Not exactly sure how it plays in the DCEU (and they didn’t exactly do themselves any favors here), but I’m sure whoever is in charge at WB doesn’t know either.
Can’t say I’m super excited for Black Adam, even if The Rock is attached

I don't know if that will see the light of day. Rock still got some $ for "executive producing" this one.

I get your points, I liked this a little better than I thought I would. The first half was a little rough but it has it's charm with the kids and Zach.

Zach was fine and set the tone. Asher was fine as Billy, and Jack Grazer was cool, though undone by the script (by the end of his screentime he got a little annoying, but that's how he was written, not because of him). You could say that of the whole family. They do the best they could with the material at hand, but the writing just wasn't great.
Again, not bad, but not really good.

I was expecting a much more fun movie - but it's pretty dark still.
Lots of straight personal murder in this one. Not buildings blowing up but people being thrown from windows and ripped apart or turning to dust while screaming in pain. How is this one for kids again???
Also the kids with the truck, are they related to the police chief or something I missed? Like they beat a crippled orphan in full view of everyone and face no consequences??
Also Freddie was definitely testing Billy in ways had a high chance of killing him - I didn't find that charming either.
I guess I wanted it to be funnier - but the DC universe is pretty bleak.
And I don't want a Mister Mind sequel - unless Space Cabbie is in it.
