- Star Trek has to stop blowing up the Enterprise. - X-Men has to stop blowing up bridges - Big lights firing into the sky has been done to death. - The "He's right behind me, isn't he?" and "I'm right here!" jokes
What are some other things you'd like to give a time out?
1. ""I'm okay" and Wilhelm scream" In response to Reply # 0
#1: First, get rid of the Wilhelm scream - it's so overused now it's not funny at all.
#2: If someone is thrown out a window and into a wood chipper don't then have them do an off-screen voice over says "I'm okay." Just realize they are not okay - and quite possibly dead.
Before that (and still) there's the waah-silence-waah-silence-waahwaah-shortersilence-waahwaah-sorter-silence-dopler-efect-waaawaah sound that cam to prevalence during the pod race on Phantom Menace.
I think the BRAAAM sound become prevalent with War of The Worlds?
But the Inception trailer seems to have introduced the use of geometrically folded cityscapes - I just saw one in Star Trek Beyond - hard to believe their city planners would watch Inception and then design a star base after it.

....and have it fail.
I was really hoping it was gonna fail in TFA. I thought it would'e been a brilliant spin and would've made the First Order a legit threat. Now they just seem like a joke that the good guys made look like bitches.

you know, the outsider who within days/weeks or sometimes months not only learns the customs and ways of a culture and people, but becomes one of the most popular members of the community and best at whatever they do in short time. ______________________________________________________________________________
