"Any speculation/news about what happens post-Infinity War? (Marvel)"
I'm curious to know whether this interweaving universe will continue or if it will be ultimately abandoned as their heavy-hitters are supposed to be hanging it up(?)
RDJ and Chris Evans aren't renewing their contracts (last I heard anyway), I assume Hemsworth also was signed for 3 Avengers movies and 3 stand-alones, which potentially removes him from the equation.
Will their roles be recast so that their respective franchises continue or will Infinity War feature a death or two?
They will have Spider-Man, Black Panther, Ms. Marvel, Ant-Man, Wasp, Scarlet Witch, and others (even the Netflix guys, perhaps) that could be the focus of the films, with extended cameos or smaller supporting roles for the "Big 4" characters sort of like when Nick Fury appears now.
I can see them just having Thor chill on Asgard, Tony retire, and Cap die or something.

I think their universe will be big enough to weather the loss of those characters. Remember, before the first film, Iron Man was a B-C list hero to the general public.

I think Iron Man has made enough money to warrant being its own franchise though so I'm curious that, if RDJ did bow out, would they recast him or progress the universe without that character and subsequent ones if it came to it.

... but since they aren't making any more Iron Man films, and they clearly keep attempting to set up Tony's "retirement" in both IM3 and A:AOU, they know the writing is on the wall there. He'll be 53 by the time Avengers: IW2 comes out, and I'm not convinced he'll want in on the next phase even if Marvel *did* open their pocketbooks. I expect him to take at least the next "phase" off.

It worked for a while in the comics post-Civil War, and if definitely could in the movies. Give RDJ a paycheck for a cameo here and there, but focus on the new characters (Spidey, Panther, Witch, Vision), Bucky as Cap (which I assume will happen at some point), and the originals (Widow, Hawkeye, Hulk). Steve Rogers could be dead or retired, and Thor could be permanently on Asgard, both could also pop in for the occasional cameo.
I'm still running with the assumption that Iron Man, Cap, Hulk, and Thor don't come back as a group until Infinity War Part 2, where they are the ones needed to truly defeat Thanos once and for all.

I recently read that due to "contracts" not everyone is appearing in both films so I figured that means Hulk, Stark, etc would have to suit up in Part 2 as the new team can't deliver in Part 1.
Conversely, if the new team is the future and replacing the originals it may make sense to switch that around?

Wasn't there a Marvel producer who kept saying that they would like to continue the Iron Man franchise even if RDJ wasn't interested? It's been a huge money-maker.

I know the guy is supposed to be playing the lead in every major film franchise/reboot in the next seven years, but if they have him for the Guardians of the Galaxy prequels, they have zero to worry about.
And yeah, Chris Evans is likely sticking around. Ditto Hemsworth. And Cheadle could easily take over in Iron Man.
