I have a feeling this will be over the top for the sake of. I'm not particularly looking for it, and most of this type of horror doesn't bother me. From what i've seen though, this one isn't going to be enjoyable.

You're a shade below mistermaxx in your complete inability to discuss anything outside the lens of "this guy>>>>>that guy".
Yes, it's crystal clear what this nonsense is.
It's sad that your shitty brand of OKS "discussion" is being allowed to fester in PTP. A year from now this forum will look exactly like the worst parts of OKS. Congrats!

But what's funny is, the worst and most confusing part is that there is a guy who is yanking it in a scene that is just so stupid that I can't for the life of me understand why it was kept in the film. So kudos to Basa calling this from the get go, even more fucked up that it happened.
The movie does feature a VERY intense scene (read that: scene, singular) of gore, but the rest is very, very tame compared to normal Eli Roth. As a result, I actually think that helped the movie quite a bit. I think that one scene is what the movie is being judged on in terms of the gore intensity.
I don't think this will change any minds about Eli Roth though. I liked it more than I thought, but I'd still only recommend it to horror fans. I was not a fan of either Hostel film, and while Cabin Fever was very freaky, it wasn't super awesome to me. The thing that Roth has going for him is his passion about horror film-making, a shame is does not normally translate into a great film.

It seems like the type of film that only a horror fan would really be interested in seeing. That being said I'm kind of itching for something like this so I believe I'll check it out. I'm so so on Roth as a film maker but it is his passion about the genre that I admire.
Going by your review I figure It'll be worth it. I tend to trust horror fans for something like this.

I mean....it's pretty clear that the movie is about the narcissism of the activist world. That scene is pretty incisive in showing exactly that. It's not like it's meaningless or something.

- you're going in thinking this is cannibal holocaust. Its' not that, and there's dare I say restraint here. So whoever edited this, did a FINE job on giving Eli tips on how to remain effective without showing everything.
- The scenes in New York are painful, but for other reasons.
- The main girl is good, and I can see now that eli on dat Rob Zombie, by putting his wife as the lead in this, and Knock Knock. She's purty so i get it.
- Alejandro is a terrible actor and his scenes are painful.

This film is frigging awesome.
I have no idea why the Hostel films aren't celebrated. They're awesome too.
In all serious....I don't think there's a musician, filmmaker, author, whatever who I love soooooo much that seems to be sooooo hated by sooooo many people that i otherwise respect and value their opinion. It's really weird.

I actually enjoyed the first Hostel, the second one is not good, but because I know Roget Bart I fool with it.
The Green Inferno wasn't nearly as bad as people set it up to be. I enjoyed it.
I think the biggest thing was to let those people live, at the heart of all of this she realized that as a society those folks were living a life that has been unchanged, and at the heart it should remain so.
