I guess those ad dollars Rhimes brings in with those good ratings overrides any quibbles over the content for the shows. Have to admit that if I had a kid, I'd have some issues with them being exposed to that on a network TV show.

I was prepared for the Shonda silliness so I really enjoyed it. Really well crafted pilot and I'm definitely in on this one. I was a little nervous after the "3 weeks earlier", a trope I'm sick of, but it was handled extremely well.

It's how all of the big TV producers work. They find a script, sell it to the network and get the credit. In this case, a former Grey's Anatomy producer came to her and she sold the show to ABC. And I'm sure she helps with the casting and guiding the show.
A lot of producers give themselves a Created By credit but it seems like Shonda was nice enough to just go with the Exec Producer credit.

dropping something you thought wouldn't happen until around episode 10 5-6 episodes earlier can't wait for next week...I think it would be pretty cool if rather than building up the students killing the husband for the entire season, they drop it right smack in the middle of the season and it plays out for the rest of the show after that

Finale this is just winter break...
Murder has six more episodes to go. HTGAWM will have a 15 episode first season and future seasons will max out at, I guess, 15-18 eps total because Viola wants to do films and do this and doing a 22+ episode season makes that virtually impossible.
so the first season finale isn't coming until February sometime I believe.

i definitely thought they were gonna kick off the first of the final few eps with revealing her husband WASN'T the killer, but i guess they didn't...can't wait for the last 3
