The first one I always think of is Sonny Corleone - I wish I could've flagged him down 10 minutes before he reached that toll booth and told him what's about to happen.
(I figure everyone's seen The Godfather but to avoid future spoilers maybe just put the film title in your post title then mention the character in the actual message.)

I would've warned him not to let Bishop hold the gun. Raheem AND Mr. Quiles could still be here. Bishop too, maybe. Although he probably would have gone that route eventually.

i think he had to die because the writer wrote such a likeable villain that they couldn't bear to give him a happily ever after, monogamous relationship type of ending.
so they had to kill him.
but the ending seems so... i dunno. forced? and you really don't want to see him die.
but what else would have worked? still, i wish he didn't die.

like damn, if she ONLY had her senses up when she saw Gary (Tom Berenger)'s crazy ass at the gay bar, that not only was he closeted, but he was fucking crazy, she could have passed his ass up when he showed up at her place *AND* had her door locked or just went out with her homegirl Katherine (Tuesday Weld), she would have been fine...
such a great movie but ugh though at the ending...

Yeah, might not be the smartest move, but if he had given Tessio a little more information beyond "Just be patient!", Tessio wouldn't have said yes to Barzini. Just exile him to Las Vegas or Italy or something.
Shoot, Frankie Pentangeli went out better than Tessio.

If Michael had just told him, "Be patient, I got something in the works that's gonna put us on top permanently," it would have all been gravy. Instead, he just stayed on that "Be patient!" shit, basically begging a guy who'd been loyal to the family since before Vito got into crime to turn against them.

I know everyone is going crazy over the death toll in Game of Thrones, but after how much The Wire fucked with me, I don't think another TV show could ever make the death of major characters hurt that much.

That was one of the best seasons of TV I've ever seen and that finale made my head explode, but I def miss Jimmy. He was unreal on that show. He and Harrow together were the fucking BALLS. They went out (as a pair) about as gangsta as you possibly can with that fake suicide letter, though so we got that.
Harrow tho....I agree with the OP. All I wanted was the happiest ending for that dood. One of the most tragic TV characters I can remember.

I rode for all the deplorable shit Tony did except for when he was fucking over Chrissy. Chrissy fucked up a few times, but nobody from the Soprano family on that show was more bout it than Chris.
His undying love and dedication toward Tony combined with his struggle with alcoholism and immeasurable sacrifice of Adriana made him the most human and relatable character on the show. Clearly, he's no saint himself, but since we're looking at this show from the bad guys perspective, he was about the rules like a motherfucker and as the seasons went on he illustrated a powerful moral compass where the rules of engagement were concerned and had the balls to check Tony for skirting the rules on several occasions.
Definitely a stand up guy, as far as morally vapid mafia scumbags are concerned, and my favorite character on the show. His murder was the one that made me hate Tony.

Chris was either the most loyal or second most loyal (Sil being the only other candidate) to Tony throughout the series, and Tony abused him like a motherfucker just cause he knew he had a/some weakness(es).

Robb Stark. Dude was a brilliant tactician, but not necessarily a great strategist, but I feel like if he'd been given a little more time he would have become one of the greatest commanders in the History of Westeros.
Also, I'm upset that Maester Luwin died in such an unglamorous way. Dude as a wise man.
