I came in here to post this. I really didn't hate Salvation like a lot of people but could have been much better and the preview was great. Should have known with McG directing it wasn't going to be tho.
the trailer had me totally convinced it was going to be my favorite Terminator movie ever. I'd been dying for one set in the future only -- show us John Connor conquering the Terminators!

In Sucker Punch's post, someone posted a link to a website about movie trailers which disappointed. Instead of distracting from the subject at hand to try to instigate discussion of this topic, I moved it to its own.
Also, PTP is very very very different than GD, or even OKS, in that most of the posts stay specific with low reply counts, whereas in those faster-moving boards, posts meander and have multiple topics within one post, making spinning off of any kind unnecessary.
I hope this answered your question. Seeing as how I don't know what post you had deleted in some other board, nor do I mod GD or OKS (nor would I want to), I can't really comment on their specific policies.

all good though, it's common knowledge you guys make up and/or bend the rules as you go along as you all see fit. many posts have been made on the subject and the mods really don't give a fuck. we obviously accept it because we're still here, myself included, i just thought it amusing to see the hypocrisy in full view once again.

And I don't know why you insist on lumping all mods together, when I think I've made in my opinion only one mistake as a moderator, which I later apologized for. Not to mention my modding has stayed consistently laissez-faire, and "hypocrisy" implies I've acted inconsistently with my modding. But I know you're not actually posting this about me, you're just mad at others and are lumping me in.

without so much as a second look due to the 'spin-off' tag. a mod makes it and it sticks around. the fact that the rules can just change from forum to forum and there are no actual guidelines is also at issue, because again, you all get to just make it up as you go along and hide behind this whole 'everyone mods differently nonsense.
if okp actually had a real standard and actually stood by it's guidelines and actually expected it's mods to abide by them consistently throughout, we wouldn't be having this conversation.

mods as a whole are highly inconsistent like i said, this same post would get deleted by other mods if a non mod would have made it. there are no uniform rules or standards, you all just kinda get to do as you please and if one wants to be a cowboy deleting shit whenever he feels like it, it's all good because you're fellow mods justify it by reminding the person whose post got deleted that their post wasn't all that important to begin with.
i've seen no fewer than 4 posts not including my own in the last month on the same topic. it's not just me.

I saw terrible reviews for that movie Powder Blue (the independent one where everyone made a big deal cause Jessica Biel was naked in it), but the trailer looked incredible.
