"Suggest a superhero GOOD adaptation idea..........."

Ok, so they jacked up Spiderman by not trying to have a fleshed-out venom story, the Wolverine movie was ill-conceived (at best), the Daredevil and Hulk movies were marginally, the last Superman movie was dull and depressing and wasted the talents of the cast with a laughable storyline (Supes son??) and questionable chemistry. To me outside of the re-booted Batman movies, I haven't been feeling superhero adaptations in recent years.

SOOOOO........ suggest a good superhero that translates well to the big-screen with a good rogues gallery, a workable backstory and strong characters.

....solid, but not spectacular. Sure, it'll get you 15 and 8 every night, but never expect to be wowed.

It has a lot of cute nods to the comics and the previous tv series, but overall it was kinda dull. Like way better than the first, but was there really anything memorable about it?

all of the good superhero movies (Spidey 2, X2, TDK,Iron Man 1) had very memorable scenes that made you actually give a shit or crack a smile. Hulk reboot? meh. No very memorable action scenes. No very slick dialogue. It just did it's job in a workman-like manner and went about it's business.

Nothing wrong with that, but it wasn't sexy.

That tried to be that before anything else and I dug that... I know plenty of people who liked it a lot too. Sometimes reality tends to get twisted on boards like this... The Hulk was a solid B

because that second Hulk movie was just as mediocre as the first, only in opposite ways.

Instead of being too wordy, it was vapid.
Instead of trying to suspend belief, it went for camp.
Instead of having a well animated if undertextured CGI Hulk, it had an overtextured and poorly animated Hulk.

I saw it at a free screening and wanted my money back.

.....the first movie was pretty great. A good actioner about a little known anti-hero type that caught you off guard by actually being, y'know- GOOD.

Then the last two were absolute shite. Then they further stomped on it with the weak tv series.

With all the vampire-mania out here nowadays, they'd be making money hand over fist if they had managed the franchise a little better.

Might even be worth a reboot.

*shrugs*

Granted, because the stories are more gritty crime drama than campy vamp/villaness there's a danger that it could be perceived as female Batman.

a well executed Flash movie could be pretty entertaining, have Wally try to fit in the shoes of the former Flash who died doing some heroic shit and wind up doing some shit that only the fastest man in the world can pull off & in the end he winds up living up to the title & stuff. Either that or put him up against some of his rogue gallery or something like Zoom

yeah i think the animated movies are way more promising right now...they need to just make more of those. they dont bring in as much money though. i know it's expensive but it may be worth it to start making theatrical release animated movies a la pixar.

Because I think this is a great way to go too. Plus getting actors back to reprise roles, or replacing actors who can't/won't come back isn't as much of an issue (especially seeing reaction to the voice talent for Batman and Joker in Under The Red Hood).

well technically it isn't but it all goes back to how much money they think they can make off it. for every incredibles there are a couple other animated films that fail. also, if they go all out with the CG and 3d technology it very well could end up being more expensive or just as expensive and i just dont think they believe they can make as much off of them as they could off a live-action movie.

i'd like to see one of these studios take the risk though because the straight to dvd movies are getting really good...if they just stepped their game up a lil' they could make a good feature to release in theatres. there's already a huge audience for these movies.

but i liked the first Hulk a lot. it did a good job of fleshing out the origin, and the monster in that Hulk was more bad ass than the 2008 version.

DC is killing Marvel with the direct to DVD movies but they stay taking L's in the live action shits
but if they pull of GL and The Flash, then the rebooted Superman does well it'll set the ball in motion for what we all REALLY want: A JLA movie

not gonna lie, i've put some thought into writing a new warriors spec script.

got some other ideas on the go, but if there are any other wannabe screenwriters out there who are familiar with the characters in NW and want to collabo, holla!

I think eisenberg might be a bit old though to play speedy.

I´m all for these animatd movies they´re getting into now..like Scanner Darkly. Its kind of obvious to do it for cartoon super heroes, but i think it would be a pretty amazing thing, even if it was more like a mini-series which is essentially more what a cartoon is like anyway.

There is a reason why a large amount of Wolverine solo shit tends to veer away from him fighting superbeings 1)He's not THAT powerful and 2)He works better in the real world as the hardened 'Clint Eastwood' esque reformed assassin.
