Why are you so interested in the viewing habits of young girls? it seems awfully important to know what they're doing and where they're going. Is this appropriate behavior for a moderator?
BTW, I'm writing down all of your names in this thread and will visit you all. Might take a minute since NBC won't pay me to hunt down perverts anymore, but that's never stopped me before.

When Edward says something romantic, they all groan and laugh with each other.
They take seriously the books, sure. But the movies to them... it seems to provide some camp value. No one, not even the kids in the high school classes I teach, will say the Twilight movies are actually good. They'll say they're "soooo good, because Jacob is hot" and stuff like this, but no one during a screening is crying with Bella or feeling for any of these actors playing the characters.

How the fuck are you a teacher! I thought you weren't allowed within 100 yards of any school

i was focused on Harry Potter until like 2007 when the last book came out. so to me it seems like bout a month after that, Twilight was declared to be the new hot shit. which i guess makes sense cause Eclipse came out 3 weeks later.
Summary for those of you who don't wanna read it. It's not very good. Better than the others. But it's boring. There are little glimmers that maybe the series will stop taking itself so seriously or moments where interesting chemistry between characters actually happens... but those moments don't last long. It's just a LOT of talking and very very little action.

Co-sign with Longo's thoughts on the self-awareness, that was some much needed levity and the crowd seemed to dig it. I dug the Edward/Jacob rivalry this time around even though the love triangle that drives the series does nothing for me. Still, there was some good ass hatin' this installment.
I know Jasper doesn't talk much but I swear he didn't develop a southern accent until he started telling his origin story. The fighting was OK I guess, nothing special. That vampire army certainly didn't amount to much (and were brittle as shit), but I guess it was a nice break from the 'do me/marry me/no wait do me instead' drama. I know a lot of other guys getting dragged to these things would like to see more 'action', personally I'd just rather a 'better movie.' My favorite moments continue to be the petty teenage rivalries and lunch table banter. High school is a great setting for a story, and they barely did anything with it here. The whole graduation thing just served as a timestamp for the Bella and Edward Getting it On countdown.
It's been said a million times before but it would really be nice for Bella to have some distinguishing quality besides just being the object of everyone's desire/ire. It's not helping matters that she always looks either bored or nauseated. Like, Luke Skywalker was a lame, but at least Star Wars was able to sell you on his importance to the galaxy. Bella is inciting vampire wars and attending werewolf secret council meetings, all because a couple guys want to bone her.
Again going back to Longo's review, I see where you're coming from on Bella's sexual independence, but that being her sole characteristic doesn't really do to much for a feminist cause.
That was more than I expected to type. I am sorry.
