HBO has ordered an eighth season of Larry David's "Curb Your Enthusiasm."

The network renewed the series for its standard 10 episodes, which will debut next year.

“After much soul searching – and by the way, it was nowhere to be found – I have decided to do another season of 'Curb,'” creator David said. “I look forward to the end of shooting, when I can once again resume the hunt for my elusive soul. I know it’s here somewhere or perhaps in the rugged mountainous regions of Pakistan.”

Adds HBO programming president Michael Lombardo: “Larry always loves to paint himself into a corner, and after the incredibly wonderful seventh season of 'Curb,' you have to ask, ‘How does he ever top this?’ But he always finds a way. We can’t wait to see what he does in season eight.”

With 70 episodes to date, "Curb" has become HBO's longest running scripted series.

Not because the show has fallen off, it's just that the seasons finish so damn perfectly. But fuck it, if there's still gas in the tank keep driving

The last two seasons have been pretty much pitch-perfect, I think last season might be my favorite season of any comedy ever.

The possibilities are endless, and if the show is running out of steam, he is the perfect fix.

it's not running out of steam at all...the last couple seasons have been some of the show's best.

I thought all these posts were about the new announcement.

I'm still way behind on Curb so need to catch up, really enjoyed the ones I have seen but didn't have HBO at the time and never got around to watching all of them. As a huge Seinfeld fan, its strange but looking forward to getting thru the series this summer.

the last season ended with Larry being banned from NYC and he heads off to Paris with Leon....I think they could easily do a whole season there and it would be amazing.

At least three-four episodes
