Quentin Tarantino Wants to Make a Western Source:NY Daily News February 15, 2010
The NY Daily News caught up with Quentin Tarantino, who says he's interested in making a Western, but one that is a little different.
"I'd like to do a Western. But rather than set it in Texas, have it in slavery times. With that subject that everybody is afraid to deal with," Tarantino said. "Let's shine that light on ourselves. You could do a ponderous history lesson of slaves escaping on the Underground Railroad. Or, you could make a movie that would be exciting. Do it as an adventure. A spaghetti Western that takes place during that time. And I would call it 'A Southern.'"
Tarantino has previously mentioned he'd still like to do a third Kill Bill movie as well.

And it would be pretty boring, fulled with Tarantonesque dialog that stretches the movie on for three hours. Samuel L. Jackson will definitely have to be the movie though. Hopefully he'll do another Kill Bill but it would hard since the man who plays the main character has passed away.
On The Lookout 4: some new music. WTF is going on this year?

Irreverent commentary where slaves hypothesize over Eli Whitney's dick size, and discuss how Swing Low Sweet Chariot has a secret "Kill Whitey" message in the lyrics.
And the words "dis" and "dat" will be written all over the script in place of "this" and "that".
1. This post is obviously soon to be bombarded with ignorant Tarantino bashing and then subsequent claims towards everyone else being mad.
2. Tarantino always talks shit about his ideas for new movies for like 3-5 years before he actually makes a new movie--and that movie usually has nothing to do with any of the wild ideas he mentioned in interviews.
"I'm gonna do a prequel to Pulp Fiction about the Vega Bros." "I'm going to do a movie like The Great Escape." "I'm going to do a kung-fu movie in Asia with an all-Asian cast."
The Kill Bill 3 thing he's been talking about for a while now. He said it would be about Vivica Fox's character's daughter, all grown-up and out for revenge against The Bride (Uma). We'll see if it ever happens, although I'm cringing already at the thought of him writing another black female into his script (even though I warmed up to Deathproof after the second viewing, the dialogue he gives the o' girl in the last half of the movie was still embarrassingly bad).
At the end of the day, hell, no one else is making a cool movie about slavery. If he did it, he'd at least get some great actors, and probably both makes someone's career, restore someone else's career, and help one of those actors score an Oscar nomination and/or Golden Globe...

I mean it's one thing to do a revenge film against the nazi's where Hitler is killed but to have black slaves killing white ppl (or whatever the plot is) is a whole other thing. I'm sure he'll get some big names (and the typical washed-up person to ad his usual flair) but I won't be surprised if he gets turned down by some black actors.
>him to try to direct one of his black actors to do it more >'slave-like' and get the shit beat out of him.
