Don't get it twisted. It ain't that great either but I don't think it was deserving of all the hate it got. It definately had a slow build up, but the last half of the movie flew by for me. My biggest gripe is Jennifer Connely's flat and uninspired performance. I also didn't care for all the multi-angle cut-aways. I know Lee was trying to replicate the comic book but if that's what people wanted they could just read the COMIC. Everyone praised Letterrier's "reboot" but it was really a spiritual successor if not a direct sequel, and that gave him the advantage of not having to include the origin story. I think all the exposition is really what brought Lee's version down.

Yeah, that shit looked like it came out of some actors workshop. Lee tried too hard to imbue some sort of philosophical meaning behind the character, which was completely unneccesary. The Hulk is not that deep of a comic.

nobody wants to see that, the hulk is already emotional enough, we just want to see him smash shit.

no, just cause it started in south america doesn't make it a sequel. it definitely took the lessons learned from lee's version and ran with them, but it's not a sequel. and letterrier got it right where some other comic book films have been getting it wrong. i like the idea of origin stories, but sometimes they're not altogether necessary, and can be REALLY corny. the hulk's original story is common enough where we don't need to spend THAT much time on it. perhaps it could have been more than a montage, but i didn't mind at all. get to the action, that's what we like about the hulk, and the action was teriffic.

Did you miss the part where he took out an entire Army regiment and then destroyed half of San Francisco?
