There is always at least one of my friends that is infront of a computer or near one at any given time, ever; and I'd even say "don't you tell me what you think, look it up"

... the type who would probably almost always go for the video bonus. And I have been stumped a couple of times by it. Usually it's the geography type videos that get me - like "name this river in France."

Everytime I see a video bonus I get it right EXCEPT when they show me a bridge in Germany and ask what the name of it is or some other type of geographical question.

And it's so disproportionately difficult with all the other questions it's ridiculous. One minute Ben's asking you to name 3 oft he 4 Beatles, next thing you know it's 'Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego?' up in that piece.

the guy I know on it was at some quiz night at a bar, producers approach and tell them to be at a certain location at a certain time. blah blah blah, then they give you the money at the end which is fake and you get your check in 4-6 weeks.

Some fares are random/real and then they have pre-screened folks on tap to spruce up the show. Many gameshows hire contestants from places like Central Casting. I have many friends who are struggling actors who have been called in to be on a gameshow. They really play the game though and really win money.

She was in there with her son and basically contributed nothing and they ended up getting bounced before reaching their destination, and she was using a cane and could barely walk. I was like, Goddamn, that's harsh.
But then, of course, Ben assured everyone that they called them another cab.
