psych is annoying. i do want them to change that lead detective on mentalist. dont like her and dont like the characters name. i also like lie to me, but think it should be on another network. too smart for fox.

Not the best acting and plots but pretty witty. It's got a kind of Fletch vibe to it. It's definitely better than most of the crap currently on TV. Give it a shot.

crawled out from underneath a rock NOT to believe that The Mentalist isn't a rip off of Psych....
IT IS a rip off...
come on....dont go there.
And, that's fine...both shows have their niche...even though one is CLEARLY superior (Psych)....
The Mentalist is a good show--though nowhere NEAR as dark and violent as it should be (but it's on CBS...they'll NEVER give you "edge" and "quality", but someone needs to punch Patrick Jane in the face though..the character is annoying and really, Robin Tunney gets ZERO to do....oddly enough, Tim Kang could get it sideways with BOTH legs raised up and behind his ears, his eyes popping out of his sockets and his toes breaking from curling too damn much, HOLLER! i think I really am watching the show JUST to see Kang give one liners and deadpan faces...and see how many times Robin can convey how badly she'd beat the crap out of Jane just for doing stupid shit...
but, as a writer, if I was offered a job to write for EITHER of them, I wouldn't turn it down. BOTH shows are well received and have buzz...so there you go.
FOX's Lie To Me: I would turn that shit down in a heartbeat...THAT is some bullshit. And, Mekhi Phifer's non-acting ass will be a series regular this fall? FUCK THAT...talk about scraping the BOTTOM of the black actor barrel....
