For anyone that works in the industry, I was hoping you could shed some light on this. I have never heard anyone say bye on the phone in the movies and I am wondering why.

I actually love that aspect, and don't see the point of realism in that scenario, but it's always funny to me how the characters do a microsecond of listening between responses, whether it's a phone call about the pilot not being picked up, or someone dying, or anything else.
---- I check for: Serengeti, Zeroh, Open Mike Eagle, Jeremiah Jae, Moka Only.

Sometimes the amount of time it takes for a visitor to get from the front of the building to Jerry's 5th floor apartment is impossible, unless the elevator moves at rocket speed and was sitting there waiting on the 1st floor. And I think there was at least one episode where they talked about his elevator being slow. I think Elaine commented on it.
So, yeah.

when a couple enters an apartment while already making out, they very rarely close the door behind them, let alone lock it.
I always notice this, and wonder if its foreshadowing for something that will happen, but it never does. They must all have very trustworthy neighbors.

when two men greet each other in a formal setting, they always just nod and say the other person's first name (man 1: "jeff" *handshake + nod* man 2: "steven" *handshake + nod*)

Someone pointed out the no goodbye thing to me easily 20 years ago and I have been paying attention looking for it and I have never seen it done. I am convinced there is a technical reason why.
That must have been quite the scene. Did you enjoy it? I once saw a performance of Hamlet where the actor playing Hamlet, who was wearing a tight skin outfit got an erection during the show. Interestingly enough, he picked up on it and somehow worked it into the script itself where you let it go and continued on with the show.
