i've never been so happy to have my saturday night plans fail.
will ferrell. tom hanks. paul rudd. norm mac-fuckin-donald. artie 'fuckin' lang. amy poehler. maya rudolph. sketch after sketch killed. Celebrity Jeopardy killed. Update killed. Bush/Cheney intro killed. Good night Saigon killed. it makes me wish i was more interested in Land of the lost, but i don't think the movie will honestly touch SNL last night.

They had like a 7 minute commercial break and then that Billy Joel song thing that took forever and wasn't that funny. I also wish they just had Norm and not Tom Hanks on the Jeopardy skit. But it was hilarious, and the Sue your Dog commercial never gets old.

...the impromptu Hulk Hands bit at the end of Jeopardy (which they've removed when they posted the sketch on Hulu), and bringing out Artie Lange for Goodnight Saigon and giggling with him the entire time.

oh yeah, it was definitely unplanned. kats in the crowd like "ARTIE". if u watched at the VERY end of the credits when the music's playing, Norm and Artie make this mad dash down the aisle like they just got caught sneaking into the movies. it was great. Norm saves lives.

monologue bit that went on about 3 minutes too long, it was a pretty funny show
Great Jeopardy sketch... Tom Hanks is a fool and a half... and Burt Reynolds showing up out-of-nowhere then disappearing again was inspired...
Kristin Wiig, man...
And my love for Maya continues unabated, even as she's "in the family way" again with P.T. Anderson... anyway, her singing Amazing Sasquatch and its spinoff, Amazing Nachos, had me dying... her performance elevated the flat material...
And what was up with that final sketch? It was just surreal and not terribly funny... it would have been nice to see Will in one of those sketches where the guys sit at a bar and tell stories around a song from the jukebox... ________________________________________________________________________ He is stupid But he KNOWS that he is stupid And that almost makes him smart Let's listen
