"What's your greatest/fav fighting scene of all time?"
Mon May-11-09 12:47 AM by Cain the Conqueror

Whether it be one on one, handicap style scene (2 against one) or 1 man army against all (Bruce Lee).

Im kinda torn between Duel of the Fates Maul vs Kenobi/Qui Gon Jin. Lucas shoulda let Ray Park choreograph all the saber duels in the subsequent prequel films....shit just flowed so nice to me without being too fast and was filmed properly (not too close up)

or

Instructors of Death/Martial Club Finale spar between Gordon Liu & johnny wang lung wei. This was just fly because the speed of the fight was awesome, had no killing or gore and was about skills...just nice...especially since it was in an increasingly confined space.

What are yours?

I saw only 5 replies, so SURELY this little sci-fi b-movie isn't getting mentioned...

That fight scene was so damn classic. They liked eachother, and deep down, they didn't want to fight, but they were being so damn stubborn that they just kept beating eachother for like 10 minutes lol

As far as kung-fu flicks, the final fight scene in My Young Auntie.

I'm more of an 'instant gratification' kind of dude when it comes to film fights.

Maybe I ain't got the greatest attention span, but long saber duels get me frustrated.

At the time, I didn't see it coming at all.

Not only is it the relatively low-key father character that fights the big bad guy, but it's not even close. He dispatches him instantly. Cold.

u have no idea how many times i've seen this film, starting from the age of 8 til now (24). not just this film tho, these guys have done a GANG of films together. they're considered legendary by anyone who has actually heard of em or seen their flicks. they were pretty huge in the 70s and 80s, and are probly most well-known for the afore-mentioned "Watch Out, We're Mad", and the two spaghetti westerns which really made them stars back in the early 70s ("They Call Me Trinity" & "Trinity Is Still My Name"). absolute classics, my friend. if u can find torrents, i recommend watching at least those 3.

Oldboy--the greatest fight scene ever.

The Quiet Man, the end

Azumi - Azumi whooping up like 100 chumps

The Crow, Brandon Lee + 2 guns + 1 sword vs. E'erybody

Drunken Master 1, the last fight scene

Drunken Master 2, the BIG fight scene

Almost any fight scene in The Protector.

If I thought about it long enough I would probably think of something in one of the first three Street Fighter movies that's worth mentioning.

Oh, as a consolation prize: Patricia Arquette vs. James Gandolfini.
