"I never raped that woman, I may have taken advantage of women before but I didn't do anything to that woman"

or something of that affect.

I felt sorry for him listening to that.

great film though, but OKP won't like it because OKP is nit picky about every damn thing except Prince.

I expected more than what appeared to just be a career high/lowlight retrospective with running commentary by Mike Tyson

I mean, there was nothing here that was new or eye-opening (Tyson says he has issues with women? Never woulda guessed it!)... anyone who's watched Tyson's profiles over the years should not have been surprised by him tearing up over Cus D'Amato...

Tyson's a complex dude, which is something we already knew, and I was hoping that this doc would give us a new perspective on him, and for me, it didn't...

kinda works against any new film being an 'eye-opener' to the already initiated.

I mean personally there wasn't anything really revelatory in the doc but I still found it thoroughly entertaining because well, Mike is thoroughly entertaining. I guess it would have been more well-rounded if they had interview footage with more than just Mike but I'm guessing Toback's feeling was he'd make a film from Mike's perspective the focus rather than try to do a 'balanced' portrayal and really we've had those previously.

of how much control he has in the film.
Not control in the sense of "executive producing"/"nothing but positive things about myself", but in that the film's forced to hear Mike give his side of it. Every damn interview with Mike seems to have him cornered, it's nice to hear him without feeling threatened.

All of this is stuff we knew before watching, it just happens to have Mike sitting on a couch with 4 cameras around him this time out

The fact that he seems relaxed on a couch and we see him throwing rocks into the ocean doesn't automatically elevate this above previous pieces on Tyson...

to go a lot deeper into things, especially the rape conviction and his life outside the ring. I mean he does come off as a deep person, how about going over his beliefs, what and where he's studied, the effects of boxing.

"I like strong women. Not necessarily a masculine woman, but I like strong women. Say a woman that runs a CEO corporation. I like a strong woman with confidence, massive confidence. And then I want to dominate her sexually. I like to watch her like a tiger watches their prey after they wound them. I want her to remember me. I want her in a bizarre way. I want her to love me. I want her to keep her distance for at least 20-30 minutes before I devour them and take them to their point of ecstasy."

that is quite possibly the greatest lasting result of watching the documentary.
