BUT as much as I hated the movie I thought he was good in The Spirit and he wasn't bad in Black Snake Moan either. He still has talent but for some reason goes with shit roles instead of good ones. i understand money is nice but how can u waste ur talent like that.

I just don't want to keep seeing him play the "elder, wise black guy" just 'cause he's an elder black guy.

At least "Lucky # Slevin" had him playing as asshole gangster.

He used to be so amazing from his brother role in Annie Hall to his watch story in Pulp Fiction to Deer Hunter. But then somebody said to him that he should stop doing straight comedy and serious acting and start doing dumb Adam Sandler movies and he hasn't been funny or entertaining since.

I'm anticipating her work in the upcoming Whatever Works since I read somewhere that it's kind of like a fiery role like Penelope Cruz's in Vicky Cristina Barcelona.

performance in Godfather Part 2 as something he's trying to work off as a template or something like that. I think he talked about it on Inside the Actor's Studio.

I've only seen a few Willis performances in movies this decade and it feels like a lifeless minimalism (also feels like he's trying too hard) to me whereas Pacino's Michael had a whole lot of life (interior stuff going on) and then some.

He got a lot of accolades for his Sixth Sense performance, so maybe he took that as a sign. I thought he was pretty good in that and it's one of his best performances, but maybe it was because it was so different from his previous work.

i LOVED her in ghost town, lost in translation and a couple other things early on. she was the worst thing in an otherwise excellent Match Point, and I could barely stand her character in the wonderful Vicki Christina Barcelona. It's not a case of hating the character actually being a testament to the great acting, i was just plain nauseated by her.

still wanna see those jammers though.

20 million dollar checks. What is he supposed to say?

He is due for a Jim Jarmusch role again, because honestly, when is the last time he did something that wasn't 'hollywood' deep? He needs to do an Indie flick.

I mean he was doing some of the best character acting for a while there and then became a pirate and stopped trying. Finding Neverland was decent but he ain't done anything worthwhile besides that for a good 6 or so years. I remember ppl where clowning me in another post b/c I didn't think Johnny Depp was fire in every film he's does. It's like did u catch Secret Window? Charlie & The Chocolate Factory? and compare that to his role in Before Night Falls or Deadman. It ain't even a competition he clearly doesn't try anymore. I hoping that this new Michael Mann film Dillinger will be different but who knows.

I almost threw popcorn at the screen.

What a dumb, trite, sappy bullshit story...and his acting?

He was nominated for an OSCAR FOR THAT?

For doing what? Talking with a British accent?

FOH

I was through with him after that. And he hasn't changed
my opinion since.
