it was one of the first few eps, maybe the first one, but Jack sees his dad on the island somewhere. obviously the healing properties of the island can somehow..raise the dead. i think Locke coming back and being reborn again on the island kinda serves to inform us about what happened to Christian.

still doesn't explain how he knows so much about the island and why he's so damn spooky.

I think he doesn't care anymore. If Sawyer wants to be leader it's okay with Jack.

I do think Sawyer blaming Jack for everything is unfair though, since the show still hasn't shown why it was so important for the Oceanic 5 to come back. They had nothing to do with the time travel stuff.

Plus, Sawyer seems to have forgotten his being an annoyance when they first crashed on the island. How is hoarding everybody's stuff being a leader?

Locke won't go towards the light and sawyer see claire delivering Kate's baby. He never sees himself. I like this theory because Charlotte died right before she goes to her time as well.

I could go for that since those are the "special" characters, along with Miles. But I couldn't see that being the case for Sawyer who was on the island when he flashed to see Aaron's birth. Actually, I should go back to season 1 and see exactly where Sawyer was when Claire was giving birth (which was the same episode where Boone died, if I remember correctly).

After yesterdays episode, I feel justified in believing this. I mean, Sawyer is an idiot if he believes he can change things, especially with Faraday not there anymore. Ben, Sun, and Locke aren't even there, probably b/c they have too much power to change things. Perhaps they are the way to dislodge the show from circular explanations. Although, there are plenty of things to keep this from happening, such as Widmore, Christian, Jacob, Locke, Ben, and Faraday. We'll see...

What I Liked:

* I loved “LaFleur” Sawyer. He really is a completely different person with different motivations than Jack or Locke.
* Sawyer complete and utter assassination of Jack’s entire reign as leader of the Oceanic Airline 815 (see “Lines of the Night”). If he had added that Sawyer has slept with the three women Jack has shown even remote interest in since crashing on the island (Kate, Ana Lucia and Juliet), he might have killed himself.
* Hurley acting as the voice of the viewer
* Amy’s baby is Ethan!
* Young Ben is on the island and has met Sayid
* Frank Lapidus is awesome. It makes you wonder what would have happened if he was flying Oceanic Airlines 815
* Three great acting moments from Elizabeth Mitchell: when she finds out the baby she’s holding is Ethan; when Sawyer tells her that Jack, Kate and Hurley are back; that tense conversation between her and Kate with all types of subtext
* We finally meet Radzinsky and see the plans for the Swan where Radzinsky will eventually paint the ceiling with his brains.

What I Didn’t Like:

* For the first time, I feel like the characters aren’t working towards anything (except Sun). I’m sure that will change soon enough.
* As much as I enjoy it, I hope this season ends up being more than the season of Easter Eggs.

* “It’s how I like to run things. I think. I’m sure that doesn’t mean that much to you, because back when you were calling the shots, you pretty much just reacted. yeah jack is an idiot. it just took four seasons for it to be exposed. that and they had their own reason sfor returning . jacks life was shit kate wanted to save sawyer and protect aaron, and hurley wanted to stop being crazy. sayid was arrested, so he had no choice.

i think ben gets together with the kids of dharma. they hate their parents, they want off the stupid island. he can go al lord of the flies on them and manipulate them. also notice that sayid is wearing the same thing that richard wore when he first met ben in the woods. purple shirt, open and long hair

i think we will find the others have infiltrated the dharma inititative. the others tend to blend in very well and assimilate whatever technology comes to the island. they could have tkane the first radio operator and replaced him with one fo their own. rememebr radzinsky was the guy that worte the dharma map in the hatch after the "incident". that "incident" hasn't hapend yet because yang still has both hands.

i thought that was a funny easter egg. that and they had to act qucik to swithc out his records for soembody elses. they can have NO connection to their past lives. sawyer is in security (yeah right). juliet is a mechanic, etc. making jacka doc or something highly skilled woudl have made him too visible.

somethign simple and low key i suppose. they need to stay low and keep their heads down, until sawyer can figure something out.

with yang in the mine. he is on the construction crew (season premier). not a leader but a memeber of the construction crew building stations.

> * Who taught Jin English? actually being a korean citizen he shoudl have 1) learned english in school and 2) served his mandatory military service where he woudl have learned even more english. but just being around the castaways for 108 days made his english eunderstandable. he understood fine, and i guess three years of conatcnt contact will improve anything. my brohter spent 8 months in nicaragua, and could speak fluent spanglish enough to run two constructions teams. immersion is the best tool for language development.

Yeah he was. Ben was the leader of "The Others" aka "The Hostiles". After Ben murked Dharma with the gas, he joined up with Richard and The Hostiles and they took over Dharma's shit. The 815 survivors named them The Others for lack of a better term. Ethan survived it somehow (I'm sure Ben had something to do with that) but my question is how and why did Radzinsky end up surviving the purge and stuck in The Swan entering those fucking numbers for god knows how many years.

I really hope Kate leaves Sawyer the fuck alone.

Ben was never supposed to go back to '77, and Sun has to go through a trial but will eventually get there.

If Kate DOES try to get with Sawyer, she really is the worst bitch on the planet (2nd to Michael's Ex)

Jack needs to accept his lot in life and stop trying to "fix" every damned thing. He could be happy if he'd relax.

Jack and Kate find themselves at odds over the direction to take to save their fellow island survivors, Locke further solidifies his stance as leader of "The Others," and Sawyer and Juliet come under scrutiny from the Dharma Initiative.

and jack and Kate stayed in the present...just cause i really can't stand either one of them....it does make Sun's journey more interesting tho...

it's funny how Sawyers lie from 3 years ago left everybody involved halfway content on the island, while Jack's lie from 3 years ago left most of the 6 depressed and off the island...

...she was the only one with a strong enough motivation to bring back everyone to the present if only to bring back Jin.

its real easy to be the leader when your underlings are scared to even wake you up for an emergency and you get to pound dharma brew everynight before you go bone your girlfriend without worrying if she's going to get kidnapped in the night.seems more like he's back in the old con man role than any position of real leadership.
if he was such an effective leader why have only miles, juliet, and faraday survived the period of flashes?
it was actually better for someone to spend that time floating unconscious through the ocean and then battle the monster hand to hand, than it was to be with sawyer
