What show did you automatically become a fan of as soon as it premiered? Some shows take a while before they become great, others are great from the start and some lose steam after a couple episodes.
Im looking for shows that were consistently good for at least a season.

But I have this weird thing that if I dont start watching from the begining of a show's start I rarely jump midway in. Of course with netflix, etc you can always go back but that takes mad dedication.
i was hooked on firefly from the first episode but i didn't see it until it came out on dvd and i know serenity wasn't aired as the premeire b/c fox is stupid, but yeah.

Im a big Buffy fan but got into it after it was canceled. I only caught a few episodes of Angel and it didn't peak my interest for whatever reason. I probably should start at the beginning of that series tho.

the whole first season had many cross-over eps. shit, so did the whole series. those two shows were joined at the hip for a while until Angel got its own style and voice n watever. it's essential viewing. and imo a better show than Buffy (*gasp*).

It took Angel awhile to become the better show, but once it got there it never looked back. By the 4th Season they were writing Buffy's characters better than Buffy's own show.

I haven't seen a whole lot of shows that were so confident in their voice, so to speak, from the first episode as Veronica Mars.
The first episode of Alias was like a damn movie. Huge action scenes, etc. I think it was two hours, also.
