The rushing around talking medical mumbo jumbo doesn't do it for me either but there were a few episodes that I got into because the characters were interested. I lasted a dozen or so episodes before I just didn't care anymore.

When he was picking new doctors, it was good. Once they settled down a bit, it lost its luster to me.

...my girl watches it, and I can't stand it when she turns to a damn House marathon on USA. I call out the plot points before they happen, just cause I've seen enough to know how it's gonna pan out. Formulaic is right. Can tolerate it, but can't truly enjoy it; doesn't seem that original or compelling to me.

I study pharmacology and physiology, and I like to have concepts reinforced in some other part of my life not revolving around school. Sounds kind of weird, but it helps me compartmentalize all this knowledge by increasing the number of times my brain accesses it.

But it's poorly written with trite dialogue and corny situations. It's got problems, but hell, what kind of quality did you expect from Brian Singer? Hugh Laurie's pretty good in it though, I just wish they gave him more interesting and realistic things to say.

I've heard the show is a better reinforcement for medical students than Law & Order is for law students. House is apparently *really* medically true to real life. Whereas Law & Order is bunk.

Some of the medical principles are sound, but many aren't.

As I've said time and time again, the best medicine on TV is practiced on Scrubs or the more recent episodes of ER.

...little sarcastic comments, usually pretty funny, he has the acting skills to pull it off. The mystery element of finding out what the illness the main patient (for each particular show) is suffering from is usually interesting.

A good show as far as I can see.

the parameters for an episode to work are so strict, the latin chick already acks like a know it all, and the way they explain EVERYTHING is nerveracking...

I don't have to comitt to any long-term story-line like other dramas.. I can pick up any season, watch any episode and feel right at home.
