i had hbo when the first one hit cable, so i peeped it that way. i mean, i'll watch bad movies if it's for free. sometimes the effects and shit are worth a peep if it ain't cost me any money. i try not to give Jerry Bruckheimer any of my money though.

Why does everyone hate Bay? I've seen a lot of his movies, and the only ones I don't really like are Pearl Harbor and The Island. I just take his movies for what they are,I'm not expecting deep story or Oscar worthy performances. Enlighten a brother...

People really need to come up with a better counterargument besides "Well, I was entertained, so there"/"I didn't want no Oscar movie"
I LOVE action movies.
I'm not a big fan of Michael Bay. I don't like the way he edits films. I liked the first Bad Boys and The Rock, and even Transformers 1. I did not like Armageddon, Pearl Harbor, or The Island, for different reasons.
I didn't like Armageddon because it was 2 and a half ours of epileptic-seizure inducing editing and graham cracker silliness featuring Affleck and Liv Tyler.
I didn't like Pearl Harbor because it was way too long and was trying too hard to be the Titanic of that year.
I didn't like The Island because the story was silly and all of the product placement was obnoxious and over-the-top.
And again, I wasn't expecting "Oscar-caliber performances or movies," but I expected to be entertained, not annoyed out of my mind. Just because something's mindless doesn't mean that we're not able to look at it with a critical eye. ________________________________________________________________________ If you're not down with me, or the E.
