Quite a few good laughs from the new ep of FOTC, but sadly none of them were from the songs. I'm still really looking forward to the show being back. Greg Proops was great.

I quite liked this one, the dad guitar, realising they were losing money on the straws, the mug breaking at the end and some other bits I remember finding pretty funny.

I also liked getting Arj Barker and Eugene Mirman in on the songs even if it was only a little bit. Plus Mel dancing (sort of) to "Robots" without the guitar and the entire massage scene. Definitely think this was better than last week's episode.

Murray's reaction at the one-guitar show was great. I haven't liked any of the songs this year. I just sit around waiting for them to end. Can't even understand most of the words.

Yeah. I think he had the best two lines of the night with "rivalries between rappers usually end in death. or worse" and his line about cutting up a guy so he was just a dick. I also like that we're getting a bit more Doug this season. So far, the hurt feelings song is the best one of the year, although i don't think any besides "sugar lumps" have been all the great.

I just think this show is very overrated. I've tried to watch it with an open mind but really don't understand why it gets so many props from critics. It seems like any show gets praises just for being on HBO (i.e. Big Love). Just my 2 cents.

bit obnoxious to run in a post about a show you don't like just to tell everyone else how much you don't like it?
I'm always amused by people who, because they have nothing better to do with their time (or need some attention so they feel the need to troll and bait post), run into show posts to loudly proclaim how much they don't like that particular show, as if they're doing some kind of Jedi Mind Trick posting that will convince other fans of the show to suddenly flip and dislike it.
Ultimately, your loud and vehement dislike of the show is not going to dissuade those who already watch and like it, no matter how much they post about it here.
So, really, why do it? We know you don't like it, we get it -- and again, ultimately, we don't care. _________________________________________________________________________ If you're not down with me, or the E. Street Band, I got two words for ya:
there were a couple that I really liked (first ep first season, and the song at the end of Mugged), maybe a random one here and there, but for the most part I aint feelin em.

As the grandson of an Australian, the ongoing New Zealand-Australian strife is my favorite running gag of the show. And Michel Gondry's direction really made the episode.

I agree with this one was the best of the season so far, but I could also see arguments made for a couple of others. But that's a good thing. It's certainly getting better as the season goes along, and although there was no Mel this episode, which sucks, I like that Dave is getting some more shine this year. I also really liked the ending, specifically "I am not participating in this hug."

I thought. The two songs probably weren't two of the stronger ones this season, but the rest of the episode was hilarious. How can you not like an episode that features both Garfunkling and Brian, the Prime Minister of New Zealand? They've definitely picked it up after starting the season off a bit slow.
