I was thinkn the same thing watching Meet the Press yesterday.
It really confirmed just how crazy/engaging the two year election was. I just cant watch CNN, MSNBC, comedy central, shit even FoxNews like I did before Nov.

the whole msnbc is the liberal equivalent of fox news argument to me has a million holes in it the main one being that there is no other fox news fox news is in a category by itself and i think it's a talking point that i didn't really believe from him when he jumped on it since a lot of what msnbc has become seems influenced by his own show and i just didn't think it was that funny.
i mean they ride for obama hard, there's no question they ride for so-called liberal ideas and issues hard, no question but they only exist because fox news's active disinformation, agenda pushing talking points, bullying interviews and overloaded questioning, and the millions of other bastardizations of all objectivity created the need for something on the other side matthews is not o'reilly, fam olbermann is not hannity msnbc at least makes some attempt to cite facts and place their news in a historical context fox news on the other hand is basically like the guy who you get into a debate with who decides "if i talk louder, that makes me more right and means i win" no i'm not saying they're always fair or objective, and olbermann is pushing it with his picture of obama in every intro but there's nothing on there even comparable to the 7 year terror alert:elevated ticker or "m-fer i want more iced tea"

he has gone out of his way to say in interviews that the show doesn't outright lean one way or the other and that they've picked on the republicans so hard because "it's easier to make fun of the party in power" (i think he might have said that on larry king) i think now, to try to appear true to that statement, he's testing efforts to shift his critique aim to the left but the material isn't really there yet and it's not like the democrats have the track record that the republicans have over the past eight years like it's not even really comparable

Deal comes as two of Riggle's "Daily Show" colleagues, married duo Jason Jones and Samantha Bee, are also busy developing a half-hour at CBS and its sibling studio (Daily Variety, Oct. 14). More than one option
Riggle, Jones and Bee's deals mean "The Daily Show" may soon have several holes to fill in its correspondent lineup, much as it did a few years ago when Steve Carell, Stephen Colbert, Ed Helms, Rob Corddry and others departed. Riggle, who joined the 2006, was a part of that new wave of stars.
Although the fact that I'm sad to see all these folks go after being used to the old cast for so long says something about their ability to find new correspondents. I'm sure some time down the line I'll be sad about a whole new batch of people leaving.
Although being left with John Oliver, Aasif Mandvi, and Wyatt Cenac isn't the worst situation to be left in. The contributors they've got right now aren't too shabby either.
