Yeah I'm not up on the story that much but it looks pretty cool as long as it's not used to the point of overkill. It did get a little old after awhile in 300.

And that's the only thing that kind of annoyed me about the trailer. Rorschach isn't supposed to be a gravely alpha male, he really should sound more monotone and world weary.
Aside from that awful voice, the rest of it looked pretty badass.
(hopefully the whole movie isn't in slow motion either)

I think that voice goes with Rorschach pretty well. But, I have the feeling that most viewers will keep thinking about Batman when they hear him talk and think they're making fun of it.

while Kovacs was more blase. The point being that Rorschach would be looking to a) disguise his Kovacs voice as much as possible and b) scare the ever-living fuck out of his targets.
so Dr. Manhattan sounds normal...I always thought he would have some type of alien type of reverb or something, but I guess not. Oh well. Can't wait to see this.

I can see the studio urging him to make that change. The average movie goer might be a little confused about a superhero movie called "Watchmen' with no superheroes called the Watchmen.

My first impression of Zack Snyder was that he couldn't pull it off. 300 was awesome to see, but I couldn't imagine this as a movie. After watching the trailers and this short doc of an explanation, I am confident that Zack Snyder will pull it off, just don't know how he's gonna make that ending. We'll see.

which I don't get?!?! Isn't the reason to have the squid monster is that it's an intergalactic entities, so people won't find a reason to connect it to any country i.e. Russia, Afghanistan. If it's warheads, the more the people will presume that it's another country. I'll still watch but it just seem like the message won't get across as clear as the book did. I wonder if people who haven't read the book will question that.

since the film's premiere is skeptical due to legal issues, they could easily edit out the warheads and place the aftermath scene of the city and make mention of a monster like the book did...

Looks otherwordly, what with the blue hue and all that. I guess it won't be nukes exactly, but some form of weapon that one would assume is from some other planet?
Still not sure how they're gonna pull that off, because you'd think that the people would assume the Russians did it (or even Dr. Manhattan, since he's capable of basically anything)
Anyways, every time I start doubting this movie, I see another trailer or another bit and I get blown away.
