really tho, Pam and Jim need to get into some shit w/each other. and I don't think there's been a SINGLE fight in the 20 or so episodes as a couple. everybody has fights!

Michael and Holly are pretty funny together, but the writers could have figured out a better ploy than having the corporate boss drive 3 hours for some shitty auction.

I thought the Dwight-Phyllis-Angela thing was great tho.

Tease tension, then back off at the end -- with last week's being the most nauseating instance. Well, at least until the Nov. 6 episode, when, according to the NBC summary, "Pam and Jim decide they want to spend every minute together using their bluetooth phones." I'm hoping this is leading to some legit tension between them to keep things interesting.

I even stomached (?) Jim and Pam this week

These characters are great; I thought the writing for Dwight was especially spot-on

I only wished they would have let the Bruce Springsteen/Huey Lewis joke stand on its own, instead of cutting to Darryl explaining that Michael's favorites had no Springsteen songs...

And with the final scene before the credits -- and the deal with them leaving the office unlocked -- it looks like we've got our plot point for Amy Ryan's exit

that would have been stupid, and darryl's explanation was funny.

the joke, and move on

instead of

hearing the joke, then having the joke explained and needlessly expanded upon, just in case we think the audience wasn't smart enough to get it.

Okay, player.

Notice I didn't say anything about whether it was funny or not

And the fact that you heard the song twice is more proof that you didn't need the explanation

And in fact it WAS highlighted, when Michael said "Take it away, Bruuuuuuuce!," and Darryl then played the Huey Lewis

So, yeah

though last night, for the first time, i started thinking about why jim was so sure pam wouldn't get cought up with someone else while she's in NYC, if hse got cought up with him right under Roy's nose.

...and of course, nobody ever knew what Pam saw in him.

But I did get a little satisfaction out of his little diatribe w/Jim along the likes of "funny, I used to feel the same way about YOU" stuff.

Seeing Jim get paranoid and insecure was so utterly uncharacteristic of him, until I felt a little glee over it.

BTW, the actress who plays Meredith has alluded that there may be a storyline emerging about her and Creed hooking up.
