But if Doom had "prep time" to build a plastic suit and some specialized means of neutralizing Magneto's powers, then sure.

Doom is a genius of incedible magnitude (much more so than Batman); I wouldn't count him out against anyone if he has enough time. Not to say that Magneto couldn't make good use of prep time too.

Still, Magneto is way more powerful as is.

Between his evil genius and the fact that he has a time machine, he wins.

But if Doom just chillin' bump into Magneto and steps on his jordans, his ass is toast.

Doom is hella powerful, but he wears a suit of armor that is made of metal. When you consider this, along with the fact that Magneto is probably the most powerful mutant in existence, Doom takes a big-sized L. The only way Doom has a chance is if he knows a fight is about to go down and he sets some type of trap.

not the concept, or even the earlier stories, but since the "X-Men" title was launched in the 90's he's become this uber powerful almost unstoppable force..in fact, half the time i wonder how the X-Men EVER beat the guy, cause no matter how you come at him, "technically" there's some bullshit defense for it.....most of the recent stories that involve him are wack, and that just helps to make the character MORE annoying...and this fool isn't even an Omega level mutant...anyway....i think Doom could beat him, but he'd have to have a device that shut off or nullified maggie's powers...

Dr. Strange is "sorcerer supreme."

While Dr. Doom does know magic, he is probably best described as a dabbler rather than a sorcerer or supreme anything.

So Dr. Doom is most definitely not Iron Man + Dr. Strange.

By the way, Magneto would easily destroy Iron Man, and it would be one of his most lopsided vistories. Unless Iron Man has prep-time, creates a plastic suit, and renames himself Polymer Man.

among other things
that's a lil more than dabbling

magneto's power is all based on physics. Magic + high level tech trumps physics.

Which leads to an interesting question:

How do you rank comic powers?

I see'em like this:

Cosmic>>
Magic>>>>>>>>>>>
Physical>
Tech

Except in rare cases like molecule man or dr light or starks

to hell.

Or send some freaky plastic nazi demon after his ass.
Or just trap his soul in some freaky dimension.

Magnetism can't do much against one of those magical-type dudes. Theoretically, he could fuck up magneto on some astral plane type shit.

Shit, he could just use a time machine on that ass, go back and get some magic lessons and pussy from morgan le fey, then show up in 30's poland and murk lil erik lensherr.

Dude got a machine that jacked the powers from the silver surfer and put them in his own body. I think he should be able to reasonably kick the shit outta most marvel characters

Just cuz a character is poorly written don't make him a bad character

>RE: send magneto's metallic bending assto hell.

If this is in his power, why hasn't he done this to the FF everytime they get in his way?
{Or did he try it and Reed outsmarted him? Sounds familiar but I can't remember}

Still, he can't just send people to hell on a whim.

>Or send some freaky plastic nazi demon after his ass.

WTF?

>Or just trap his soul in some freaky dimension.

Again, has he ever done this to someone? You're talking about some epic level magic shit. Doom has been to hell, but sending other people there without prep or trapping souls? Nope.

>Magnetism can't do much against one of those magical-type
>dudes. Theoretically, he could fuck up magneto on some astral
>plane type shit.

But he's not one of those astral plane type dudes. Strange is; Doom is not. His magic is specialized and not very powerful in the whole scheme of things.

>Shit, he could just use a time machine on that ass, go back
>and get some magic lessons and pussy from morgan le fey, then
>show up in 30's poland and murk lil erik lensherr.

Again, lots of prep time required there.

And is this time machine made of plastic? If not, Magneto can just send pieces of it directly into Doom's heart - right through his plastic armor.

>Dude got a machine that jacked the powers from the silver
>surfer and put them in his own body. I think he should be
>able to reasonably kick the shit outta most marvel characters

With enough prep time to build shit. But that's a copout for any genius character with resources. Why hasn't Doom done this to infant versions of the FF?

>Just cuz a character is poorly written don't make him a bad
>character

But Doom hasn't shown the levels of magic you're talking about, and if it would be so eady to stomp out Magneto (one of the most powerful non-epic Marvel characters in existance), why hasn't he gotten rid of the FF permanently yet?

for the simple reason that they've fought before and Doom took the L. Doom can adapt to make sure that doesn't happen again, Mags is still Mags.

Of course, Doom IS, at heart, an idiot, so yeah...Mags.

Doom one of those smart/dumb dictators (c) Ghostface

It's like local rappers that have an album title, a cover, wardrobe, all types of shit before they actually record a single fucking song. One of those dudes always talking about they're about to go into or just came from "the studio".

I swear Doom starts planning the "I killed Richards" parade as the FIRST part of any diabolical scheme he concocts, and blows most of his creative energy too early. When it comes to the actual killing Richards part, he fizzles out.

*breaks mic stand in half, throws it down and walks off*

Even with a premeditated, well thought out attack and supreme preparation he might be to take down Magnus for a while but in the end Magneto will find a way to win.

If Reed Richards can find a way to beat him through pure science and tenacity then Magneto would surely end up the victor. I'd love to write a graphic novel where that actually jumped off, though.

One.

Mags would win, but I loves me some Doom. I can understand the question though. Both have transcended villain and are more like forces.

Doom may be go a bit harder in the planning department, but Magneto's no slouch.

Let em both have enough prep time, Doom would cook up some marvelous shit.

But Magneto wouldn't show up half assed either, and at the end of the day he's still one of the most powerful people on the planet AND knows how to push his powers to the limits.

Like, all it takes is someone to have some change in their pocket in a 100 mile radius, and Dooms dead, lol.

My first instinct was to give it to Magneto, because like you said, if you ever had a filling he should be able to handle up on you, but then I remembered that Wolverine stays getting shots off on him. If A stupid midget with a hundred pounds worth of metal can do it, then surely Doom has a chance.

Fun is the new gritty

DOOM would first demagnetize a dime (like a rhyme) and he'd get jet black head-to-toe & then battle Magneto for bottles of mo' or 'dro! DOOM'S fly flow take practice like Tae Bo with Billy Blanks you guys...there's really no fuckin with him.

I bet Magneto can't even rhyme good.
