when you think you've seen the shittiest movie you'll ever see already and then you see a movie even shittier, it's always an awful time. And then I watched the first few minutes of a special feature and laughed my ass off at how everyone was taking it seriously. I was mad and laughing at the same time.
Please do not get curious about the movie and see it, that's the trap.

One of the reasons I refuse to see "Juno" is because I absolutely couldn't stand Ellen Page in this when I watched it a few years back, and I expect more of the same -- with less faked nut-chopping.

the nut chopping scene. I was watching it with a few friends and all of us were screaming at the tv in disgust and horror.
second, I hated ellen page in it. Hated her. I was rooting for the pedophile and that was the point to me to get you to do that. I felt dirty after that movie so I consider it a powerful film in making me root for the pedophile.

I thought the premise sounded interesting and the preview reeled me in dammit. They could have done so much more, but god damn if it wasn't boring as shit. They should have had more than one pedophile to keep it moving instead of on the same dude all movie.
I didn't mind Juno tho, the wife really liked it and I was kind of ho-hum but not ready to off myself like this shitbag of a movie.

It was screwing with the audience for all the right reasons.
Yeah I thought Ellen Page was annoying, but I kind of think the audience was supposed to find her annoying, and side with Patrick Wilson's character. Then when the truth comes out it's supposed to make you reconsider who you're supposed to feel bad for.
It was one of those movies that aggravated me so much while I was watching it, but it had me thinking so long afterward that I had to admit that it succeeded, it was great for what it was trying to accomplish.

Hard Candy was okay. It set out to press your buttons, and for me it did just that.
I thought both Page and Wilson gave good performances, and I thought it was cool that both has since gone on to bigger things. Wilson in particular I liked, because the calm, easy going personality he had for most of the movie was well done. For most of the movie he's just supposed to seem like an easy target, the perfect victim for the seemingly evil girl that Page is supposed to be.
If it didn't work for you...::shrugs:: I don't know what to tell you patna. I didn't make the movie, I just enjoyed it.
