"OKP Best of 2006- The Voting Post"

So we always end up with a bunch of Top 10 posts and Best Of posts all that, but I usually think it's pretty tough to find a consensus in those big 400 reply posts. It's been long enough now that we should've caught up with everything in the post-award show rush. So my thought was this: vote in this post for your favorite of everything (put n/a if you don't watch TV/read comic books/etc) from 2006, I'll tally up the percentages, and we'll figure out how the majority of PTP feels in a statistical form. And yes, I have that much spare time on my hands.

'Cause there are a couple of 2005 films that were released in the U.S. in 2006.

And, there's a 1969 Melville film that had its U.S. premiere in 2006 and is still running in 2007.

McCauley or some shit.

It's just that my list would look drastically different if we went by IMDB entry dates, ya know.

And, Frank is putting in effort to tally stuff so I just wanted to be clear and eliminate additional work (even if the corrections take 27 seconds to do).

Now, that the scope is sort of wide, I'm feeling lazy now, haha.

i remember back in the early sopranos eps last season while T was in the coma, we were all going "and the emmy goes to" for Edie's monlogues and all that jazz she was pulling.

she was damned good early on but just became annoying as fuck in the last half of the season.

i also had alfonso cuaran in for tie for best director but i didnt think a tie was fair.

But I couldn't deny the job that Scorsese did with The Departed. IMO, they were both excellent. I almost gave CoM and Departed a tie but I had to pull back on that. There's a few minutes in The Departed that could've been trimmed. Children of Men couldn't be trimmed down anymore IMO.
