1) excellent story - was originally suppose 2 be a seperate movie altogether called Simon Says about a cop who pissed off some mystery man and has to go around NYC and defuse these bombs before they go off. so its really TWO movies in one.
2) Easily the three best action car (is that a term?) sequences in the past decade shot on film. When john mclane drives through the park, the whole dump truck in the tunnel scene, and the car shootout scene in the rain. classic shit.
3) the chemistry between jackson and willis was better than Gibson and Glover IMO.
4) the only downfall was the ending...it was weak.
1 set the standard for years, 2 was a loss of form (much like Home Alone 2, the same shit happens to the same guy on the holiday? Come on!) 3 was much better put together, but with a lame ass ending
That and I swear they messed up the water jug puzzle...

and coincidentally, most of those movies came out in the 80's, there hasn't been a really great action movie to come out since the 80's IMO (minus bad boys) but i personally believe DIE HARD 3 beat all of them.
a movie that grossed damn near 300 million overseas and 100 mil domestically can't be as whack as yall make it out to be...

the only scenes that really used CGI was when they jumped off the boat and the water in the aquaduct scene...
but that car chase scene in the park, no fuck it, the whole segment of them in downtown manhattan trying to find that second bomb..the shootout scene in the rain out there on the interstate all was classic hollywood shit - no CGI...now, the car chase scene in BB2 was stuff of legends, but without CGI that shit aint happening.
and i'll give it to you, the last part of DH3 was shaky, and the alternate ending on the DVD was even WORSE. but I still think it was best despite that...its rare for an ACTION movie's storyline to actually damn near outweigh the action but I think DH3 did it very well.

Okay, I'm lying, I was enrolled in the class but stopped attending about 2/3 of the way through because it wasn't very stimulating. I heard from my classmates that they were watching it even though I wasn't attending any more. As such, I have no fucking idea why they were watching True Lies in a college Shakespeare class (upper-division, too, mind you) because I wasn't there to hear the professor justify it.
Somewhat predictably, my choice to stop attending that class might end up getting between me and my degree in May (unexpected cancellation this semester). It turns out Schwarzenegger is out to get me no matter what I fucking do.

but it is truly underappreciated. I think once you hit "three" in any movie series, people expect a significant drop off in quality, but DH: With a Vengeance was still a quality flick. I like how it went back to Hans Gruber and how "Simon" used the same strategy of smoke and mirrors to hide his true endgame that Hans did. ____________________________________ Avy=Can we get to 70?

And I could follow the plot too, but it was still muddled in the 1st act, plus it's biggest downfall is the severe lack of well-written supporting characters, something it's counterparts have plenty of.

Jamie Lee curtis become an agent just because she's married to one? the Best scene in Ture Lies was the Truth syrum part which don't stand a chance with Mclane's drive through the park.

the whole Cuba race down a Hill of shacks that are randomly exploding. The mine scene was hot but come on. It had it's moments but it didn't top the first.
