One of the best shows (the other is The Americans) is back I didn't think it would last this long and after this ep I feel they need to wrap it up this season
I mean, it's lazy writing to assume that anyone would GAF about Frank at this point and I just know Fiona is gonna slip and fall on some D anytime now Once again Carl is the star, with Kevin and Debbie also starting off strong the bigger question is where do they go from here? what's the endgame?

her and V fighting was rough
...watching each Gallagher grow and seemingly grow apart was rough
.....I kinda hope that's how this show ends though... Each Gallagher with their own plan that honestly works well for them in separate places physically but still mentally tight with each other...Oh, and Frank still out there screwing up being classic Frank, but being someone else's burden...

Like someone mentioned above though, you know that no one in this family can really be happy for long before the bottom falls out.
Lip is going to jail. Ian is gonna Ian. Debbie is headed to adulthood and marriage with a guy she can't have sex with. The Cuckold Chronicles! Liam is still only gonna speak one or two words every five episodes. Carl is that dude and will be sent home immediately after Deebo'ing the dorms already. Fiona is gonna lose the house for them and end up on her ass.
OR
Lip is going to get back in school somewhere. Ian is gonna Ian. Debbie is headed to adulthood and marriage to get that good security. Liam is still only gonna speak one or two words every five episodes. Carl is that dude and come home in a few years after excelling in the academy. Fiona is gonna eventually kick ass with her own businesses and evolve into a clone of her Boss Lady who has started to inspire her.
Either way, this looks like it could be the last season they get to rock out on Sunday nights.

....i don't think svet is anywhere near as bad as Frank, but she's a hustler, just like the rest of them... She works every angle she can, just like the rest of them.... She lied to kev and his feelings are still hurt about it.... Svet did them dirty by lying and I don't think homeboy is "gone", she's just got him holed up somewhere, but I still like her and understand both sides of it (kev's and v's)
The G's really need to come together as a family and be more supportive of each other right now... Debbie needs Fiona more than EVER right now, but they're so busy arguing that nothing gets done.... That other family did her dirty.... They didn't wanna really step up once they heard about the baby, but now that the baby's here they start acting all high and mighty... really despicable people.... She's still just a kid herself, and to play her and her mentally challenged fiancé like that was really low....
Lip has to realize that he HAS to make his own lane.... it's just the way all truly brilliant people roll..... "Lip in self pity" is such an old staple at this point..... I hope he really learns to focus on making his life better.... what Ian told him at every point of the show was totally correct
...LOL at the lady buying big TV's and hot tubs.... Ultimately, Fi is gonna end up having to take care of her.....Glad Kev realized that they all need each other to make it and went to help out his other family...

It seems like the arc is coming full circle Yes, Lip couldn't resist donning his cape once again but this time he was smart enough to take it off immediately and fall back. Homegirl is good for him, in that she knows how addicts are so she'll call him out quick if he starts to slip. At this point I'm wondering if the Gallagher curse is going to strike again. Fiona, Carl, Ian, Lip, even Liam are on the cusp of doing something with their lives. Fucking Frank fixing up the house! No clue how the Svet storyline plays out 4 more eps left. Anyone seen anything about an 8th season? that might be too much. This is feeling like series finale writing.

Lip almost always finds women that are good for him (cept that one girl that had the baby with another dude)... the problem is, he has trouble focusing on relationships and whatever else....
it seems like they're giving them time to really rally around Debs and help her with the littlest Gallagher.... If lip helps Fiona with the Laundromat while also working on his own ideas, he'll be fine...
Ian seems like he's on a good track, as does Carl and Liam.... Fiona is doing alright but she needs her family more...
anyway, I think this should be the last season...they can wrap a lot up in these next few episodes and honestly go out on top storytelling-wise if nothing else... Show has been really great these last 2 seasons...

I can't think of a single episode of anything that was ever "necessary".
Anything we watch, we do so because we want to follow the lives, jokes, antics and (mis)adventures of the characters. This show in particular can handle an 8th season.... and 8 more after as long as the writing remains on point, the actors still care and the network sees a profit.
There are enough characters with sufficiently strong development to tell any number of stories on this show without getting remotely stale.
I can feel for Frank despite him being shitty because in the end I think his family is the most important thing to him even if he can't control his addictions and selfishness.
I don't feel that way about Monica, she was always just shitty and I never saw any good intentions behind her actions. I feel bad her kids had to see her dead because that'll fuck with young people, but only Debbie and Liam will really care. Probably not even Liam.

Ok so Fiona stuffed hers and Liam's stash in the coffin I assume everyone else kept theirs which would help Debbie pay for welding school but Ian didn't Ian and went back to work Fiona's a landlord now, what a journey

Or there will at least be some bumps in the road. I don't know why she was so quick to trust that guy. I really hope Lip gets it together, I think he will. I'm glad Ian came to his senses, I hope Carl doesn't get in trouble. All in all, another good season. Is next season supposed to be the last?
