https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uPE2oBnzROY love the lead. Keanu Reeves was always an awful choice for Constantine. Not blond, not British and sans swag. This dude fits the role like a glove but this show risks to be a Supernatural clone. The fact that it's on Network TV, means it will struggle creatively and might not surpass other shows in its genre. I'll give it a shot when it comes out, though. What y'all think?

Based on this trailer alone. I don't see it become the hit NBC thinks it's gonna generate.

They're clearly trying to build a genre night, Grimm is already doing pretty well, Dracula didn't work out as a pairing for it, but THIS just might do the trick.
Happy to see Harold Perrineau in there in a beefed up role from the original script. Not the best cut trailer in the world but it still looks interesting.

but NBC needs to move Dateline to another night and just make Friday their genre night.
Fridays should be:
FALL 8:00 PM Family friendly genre show (that goes at least 16-22 episodes tops) 9:00 PM Grimm 10:00 PM Constantine
WINTER 8:00 PM Genre show (premiere another one if the one you had in the fall doesn't go a full 22 eps) 9:00 PM Grimm 10:00 PM Hannibal (NBC is officially invested in the show and they seem to, right now, determined to make it work and keep as long as they possibly can given that it's under an unusual financial model (it's funded by NBC and international production company Gaumont TV, and Hannibal is one of the American shows that has a growing international audience)
SUMMER throw in Grimm reruns and air some summer genre shows/miniseries to keep it going year round...
like NBC needs to just give up the funk and do this. like how BBC America has Supernatural Saturdays or Drama Wednesdays (Broadchurch, Luther, etc.), NBC needs to brand Friday night Supernatural Fridays, or Genre Fridays or some bs like that and move on...
because Constantine only works behind another genre show....it doesn't work anywhere else on NBC's programming schedule...same with Hannibal. Fridays are the worst day for most shows that aren't on CBS....
BUT, Friday seems to work for Hannibal and other genre shows on NBC....

>that movie was a travesty.
I know...I ALWAYS ask people if they saw Hellblazer when they say they loved CONSTANTINE....and tell them to READ the entire series so they can realize just how hideous that movie was....Tilda Swinton vamping around as the male Archangel Gabriel notwithstanding (t's Tilda Swinton, she is everything )
