>This year, he was already in a movie that may get him Oscar >buzz in The Grey, and he'll be featured in four of the biggest >money makers of 2012, Wrath of the Titans, The Dark Knight >Rises, Battleship, and Taken 2. He very well may be the best >part of all four of those films too (I kinda expect Wrath and >Battleship to suck, but as long as Neeson pulls an A-Team and >has fun with those parts, he'll be awesome to watch).
i remember reading this earlier this year, and so far it hasn't really worked out this way. i enjoyed the grey (which i saw at the movie theater after reading PTP), but it seems i was one of the few who saw it or liked it much. admittedly i missed wrath of the titans, but it just didn't look like something i'd want to spend my money seeing on the big screen. maybe it's awesome, but from the reaction i've seen, i doubt it. the first one was ok. battleship was very flawed, especially the story and acting, and i don't think neeson really shined in it either. it just seemed like an easy paycheck rather than a performance or film he cared about. TDKR he was barely in. obviously you didn't know that when you wrote your post, but it's not worth delving into. i did like his performance as ra's in the trilogy. i thought of this post because taken 2 is about to open. doing the sequel seemed like another cash in (in the movie franchise and remake craze), and i'm not really convinced otherwise by the trailer. i will probably watch it at some point, but this year didn't pan out as it could have and as i would have liked for him.
